The 2012 epay NZ Silver Fern International Marathon Rally, will start in Auckland before traversing the middle North Island stopping at Rotorua, Gisborne, Napier, Feilding, Ohakune and Taupo before finishing a week later in Hamilton.

The motorsport event will feature approximately 60 Historic and 2 wheel drive rally cars from the past, inclusing Ford Escorts, Porsche, Mazda, Toyota, Alfa Romeo, Skoda, even a Holden Monaro.

Departing from Botany, the competitors will compete on special stage roads closed to the public south of Auckland heading for Tauranga and Rotorua on day one.
