Eleanor Catton, Hamish Clayton, Craig Cliff - New Zealand’s Emerging Writers.
Three of New Zealand’s most exciting new writers share the Embassy stage as they discuss their writing journeys with Harry Ricketts.
Eleanor Catton’s debut novel, The Rehearsal, was published in more than 10 languages, won the New Zealand Book Award for Best First Book of Fiction and was short-listed for The Guardian First Book Award. Craig Cliff won the Commonwealth Writers’ Prize Best First Book Award for A Man Melting - his book of short stories. Clayton’s remarkable first novel, Wulf, provides an intriguing insight into early 19th century New Zealand, the experiences of this country’s early explorers and Te Rauparaha’s conquering of Kapiti Island.
With support from the Lion Foundation.
