Follow the Tui Domain track to the site of the Tui Mine where the second stage of remediation work is underway. Learn the history of mining since the 1880s and see the project to protect mountain streams from the waste tailings. Return along the foothills to the Te Aroha Hot Springs Domain where walkers can choose to soak at the hot pools. Ph 07 884 8717 to book a private mineral spa at the Te Aroha Mineral Spas or take the family to the Te Aroha Leisure Pools for some outdoor fun.

Start: 9am. Duration: 4 hours. Track grading: 2.
