As this is a special night for East Coast Folk Club, celebrating 20 years of fantastic acoustic music, Easy St are reforming for the occasion. This is a one night only opportunity to hear them.

Easy St. (1990-1999) - (L-R) Kerrin Worsfold, Jenny Kilpatrick & Tony Ricketts.
The diversity of this group can be gauged from the range of their individual achievements. Kerrin was awarded the Nobel Physics Prize for his 1993 accordion solo on "Fields of Athenry" (with Twisted Willie). Jenny invented the Blind Date concert in 1996, and teaches performance kazoo at the University of Tauranga. Tony once won $15 on Lotto, and in 1970 danced (in tights) in an excerpt from Swan Lake.

Easy St's eponymous 1996 CD won great acclaim from Kerrin's mum and that couple in Dannevirke. No-one can remember why they stopped playing together, but this is the first time this millennium they've been asked to get the old show on the road. (Not many facts were misused in this write-up)

Please bring a plate for a shared supper. Complimentary mulled apple juice will be served, plus the usual tea and coffee.

Easy St will be preceded by a variety of club singers in the first half.

All welcome.

A packed house turned out for a unique and delightful evening with Easy St in top form - a wonderful variety of songs from Tony & Jenny with beautifully arranged keyboard accompaniment from Kerrin. Tony's "King of the Roses", sung by Jenny with great sensitivity, was a highlight.
