Earthsong Eco-Neighbourhood Public Tour

Earthsong is an innovative urban co-housing development in West Auckland. It is a living model of socially and environmentally sustainable living.

Learn about living in a co-housing neighbourhood, sustainable housing, permaculture and the environment.

Please arrive before 2pm as the tour starts promptly, rain or shine, with no reservations necessary. The tour includes a presentation and a guided walk through the neighbourhood. Viewing inside one or two homes gives you a first hand look at what home life is like. At afternoon tea you can talk with residents. A public tour is a great way for those with a general interest to learn more.

The 45 minute presentation normally includes our history, philosophy, environmental aspects such as design, materials, the three waters (drinking water, stormwater and sewage), energy, permaculture, transport and social tools such as consensus decision making, living together as a community of people from diverse backgrounds, ages and income, and getting work done around the place.
