Etching became a major medium for picture-making in the Netherlands during the 17th century, the 'golden age' of Dutch art. Rembrandt was the undoubted master of etching, and he fully explored the possibilities of the demanding medium. This exhibition contains ten of his masterful etchings.

A Te Papa touring exhibition.
