James Carnie (HonDINZ) is principal of Clendons (formerly, Clendon Feeney), a commercial law practice with a specialist focus on intellectual property and technology. Clendons have sponsored the Designers' Institute since inception, and our sponsorship provides legal services and continuing professional development to both the Designers Institute and its members. In addition to our specialist visual arts and intellectual property practice, Clendons has provided legal and strategic advice to Designers' Institute members on a variety of relevant legal issues including joint venture and commercial projects, contracts and terms of trade, project disputes, employment law, and trade practices.
