David Shanhun/Simon Snaize

Acoustic Show plus Songwriting Workshop the following night!

David Shanhun was a nominee for the NCMA Horizon's award and the Pat McMinn Rising Star Award in 2011. He has combined with UK-based songwriter, performer and producer Simon Snaize for a series of shows around New Zealand.

David released his first album 'Dreamer' early 2011 (iTunes), and is working towards his second album, to be released this year. Having studied with Paul Ubana Jones and idolised Tommy Emmanuel, he combines some intricate guitar work underneath many of his songs.

Simon has recorded five albums and is an outstanding songwriter and musician. His first solo album Heartland can be found on both iTunes and Amazon.

Simon has toured in the UK, the US and New Zealand supporting artists such as Don McGlashan (The Muttonbirds), Glen Hansard (The Frames), Fish (Marillion) and Chris Helme (The Seahorses, The Yards). As a producer he has worked in the UK and US with many artists including Sam Forrest (Nine Black Alps, Sorry Kisses), Heather Findlay (Mostly Autumn, Heather Findlay Band) and Rick Wakeman (Yes) and has garnered awards from the NMMA (New Mexico Music Awards) winning Best Musical Production World Beat Song in 2006 and Best Pop CD in 2008 with recording artist Kito Peters.

Also featuring on this show as special guests are Auckland based Oslo Brown. An all girl trio, these guys are great fun, and have amazing tunes and harmonies!
