Now retired in Whangarei, David has taken the opportunity to travel overseas to Australia, Europe, Ireland and England. During these wanderings he has been captivated by the many exciting inspirations to sketch, his favourite subjects - old harbours and buildings, vintage boats, plus everyday memorabilia seen here and there during his ramblings.

The paintings are all initially drawn ‘on site’ then photographed for colour references and finished on his return to the beautiful Whangarei Heads where he now lives.
