Phil returns to CJC with a fresh collection of compositions inspired by some of his musical heroes, each one dedicated to a an influence from the past, including Herbie Hancock, Eliane Elias, and lesser-known European jazz masters.
Phil’s new quartet has a change in personnel - with Alain Koetsier’s departure for the green fields of China, the drum chair is taken over by Cam Sangster who many will know as the drummer for the Auckland Jazz Orchestra. With Roger Manins and Oli Holland lending their formidable talents as usual, don’t miss this last gig before the band heads for the studio to record the follow-up release to their highly regarded Delayed Reaction
