Chi kung workshop – metal forms with Ged Sumner (UK)

Explore the healing principles of Chi and its unfoldment in the human system. Learn the creative dragon forms over four days. These forms focus on twisting and rising movements that create powerful energy flows in the body which practised regularly lead to increased health.

This is a four day workshop exploring the basic forms and concepts of fire forms chi kung. The workshop can be attended by anyone wishing to deepen their understanding of chi kung.

Metal - represents the condensing energy of nature and the season of autumn. Its manifestation in the body is in the lungs and large intestine. Their overall function is the exchange of chi, drawing in chi from the air through the breath and eliminating what is unnecessary to the body's requirements. Strong metal element leads to positive, open and bright energy.

The workshop will include – moving from the dan tien, chi awareness, static postures, chi kung breathing, chi kung walks, joint mobilization, being still.

Ged Sumner: is a Director of the College of Chi Kung and a professional craniosacral therapist.
