Chi kung workshop – fire forms with Ged Sumner (UK)

Explore the healing principles of chi and its unfoldment in the human system. Learn the creative dragon forms over four days. These forms focus on twisting and rising movements that create powerful energy flows in the body which practised regularly lead to increased health.

This is a four day workshop exploring the basic forms and concepts of fire forms chi kung. The workshop can be attended by anyone wishing to deepen their understanding of chi kung.

Fire - represents the season of summer and the phenomenon of heat. In the body its heat is conveyed through the blood and the power of the heart. Its movements are graceful and expansive. When it is fully expressed you can experience joy, calm and emotional stability. A variety of fire forms will be explored that allow fire to safely manifest.

The workshop will include – Moving from the dan tien, chi awareness, static postures, chi kung breathing, chi kung walks, joint mobilisation, being still.

Ged Sumner: is a Director of the College of Chi Kung and a professional craniosacral therapist. He has studied with a variety of chi kung teachers and integrates this with his understanding and study of meditation, attachment psychology, shiatsu, Chinese medicine and cranio-sacral therapy approaches. He teaches cranio-sacral therapy internationally. (www.bodyintelligence.com)

The College of Elemental Chi Kung has been teaching full chi kung trainings, retreats, workshops and classes for the past 12 years through its network of registered teachers.
