Central Ukulele Festival

Central Ukulele Festival is an annual fun celebration of music making for the whole community, starring primary and intermediate schools from central region. The festival blends together great local talent, community & school children with workshops, entertainment, music stalls, food, give aways and competitions in a day of family fun.

Held in Arena 2, Palmerston North, Central Ukulele Festival is founded and facilitated by local musician and educator Jennifer Moss: 'Colouring Lives with Music'.

The incredible line up for Festival day includes:
- Ukulele workshops: all ability levels;
- ’Mr Ukulele’ Kevin Fogarty, leading a songwriting workshop;
- Music stalls;
- Ukulele beginner's corner, open to all;
- Guest artists, including the wildly popular ‘Ukephoria!’ and Awatapu’s talented ‘The All Sorts’;
- Competitions & spot prizes;
- Mass 'ukulele jam' with all participants: starring CUFettes and CUF Pro.
