Carlos Navae Band

Acapulco-born singer/songwriter, guitarist, percussionist, Carlos Navae first started performing in Mexico City. In 2003 he moved to Puerto Escondido Oaxaca where life itself then pointed in the direction of Aotearoa, seeing him travel far from home to Wellington NZ in 2004.

In 2005 he formed salsa band "Clave Latina," now known as "Carlos Navae & Son Clave," one of the best salsa acts in New Zealand.

He has collaborated with several other bands including Rainbow Country opening for Katchafire, Wellington NZSM Big Band, and has worked alongside some of New Zealand's finest artists; Frankie Stevens, Rodger Fox, Batucada Sound Machine, Wellington Vector Orchestra, The Black Seeds, and Vaughn Roberts Big Band.

Now an in-demand Latin music performer he has appeared at major events and festivals around New Zealand including Festival Of The Elements, Nelson Jazz Festival, Summer Hummer, Jambalaya Rotorua, NZ Pacific Salsa Congress, Cuba St Carnival, Latin Fest Wellington, and on national television.
