The CAMERA Family Space is a specially constructed area for the CAMERA Season of Photography Exhibition. It is a great place for families to take time out with cool hands-on activities and interactive displays - including a huge camera kids can climb through! Make sure you make the most of the free activities too.
Make a pinhole camera:
Learn to construct your own pinhole camera, a simple way to experiment with photography.
Weekends 23 June-5 August (excluding school holidays).
11am-12pm and 1-2pm.
$5 per person, suitable for children 8 years and over. Members free. To book go to the website or phone 09 306 7048. A booking fee of $3 applies to each transaction.
Every picture tells a story:
Be inspired by exhibition photos to draw a story about what happened before and after the photo. Make a sliding ‘film roll’ of your picture sequence to animate the story.
Weekends 11-26 August.
