June 10th 2012 marks a 126 years since the eruption of Mount Tarawera. To commemorate Buried Village is holding a night tour on Saturday June 9th to share the stories of Te Wairoa and the eruption of Mount Tarawera. Start the evening with a guided tour through the excavated sites, followed by a walk via the stream to view the glow worms and finish the evening with supper in Vi's Teahouse.
$5.00pp includes entry and a light supper.
6.00pm at the Buried Village.
Torch, warm clothing and suitable footwear required.
