Seen by more than 25 million people worldwide, the multi award-winning smash hit musical Buddy is being staged in Palmerston North for the first time next April. Directed by Pat Snoxell and presented by the Manawatu Theatre Society for 7 performances.

The Buddy Holly Story celebrates his life, loves and his tragic death at the age of 22. Buddy features twenty of the best rock and pop songs ever written, including "Peggy Sue", "Why do fools fall in love," "That'll Be the Day", "Rave On", "Oh Boy", "Heartbeat" and "Raining in my heart" - not forgetting Ritchie Valens' '"La Bamba" and the Big Bopper's "Chantilly Lace". The incredible legacy of the young man with glasses whose musical career spanned an all-too-brief period during the golden day of rock 'n' roll, continues to live on in Buddy-the Musical.
