Blue Light Trade Zone Kids Gone Fishin'

This year’s Auckland based New Zealand Blue Light Trade Zone Kids Gone Fishin’ event, is set to be the biggest and best yet!

Held as part of the Auckland Seafood Festival on Anniversary Weekend, this is New Zealand’s ultimate free fishing event for families. The event will run from 9.30am to 11.30am on Sunday 29th of January on the North Wharf at Wynyard Quarter at the Corner of Halsey and Jellicoe Streets Downtown Auckland.

The New Zealand Blue Light Kids Gone Fishin’ events have been a popular event through-out New Zealand for over 15 years. This year's event will be held in association with Auckland's BIG little City and Radio Hauraki.

With over 13 Kids Gone Fishin’ events through-out New Zealand in 2012 this will be the largest event as part of the Auckland Seafood Festival. With fishing celebrity and Blue Light patron Graeme Sinclair hosting the morning what a great way for the ‘big’ kids to have a chat with him about great fishing stories and the children to grab an autograph.

A gift pack will be given to the first 1,000 children aged 13 years and under that have preregistered. The event is FREE to attend and promotes families spending time together in our enjoyable city.

This vibrant addition to the waterfront is big enough to house our ever-expanding fishing events and this great location in the BIG little city is handy for parking, public transport and accommodation. And of course it has some amazing views across the Waitemata Harbour.

Each registered kid receives a 50% discount on one adult entry to the Auckland Seafood Festival that day. Children 13 and under are free when accompanied to the Auckland Seafood Festival by an adult. The Kids Gone Fishin’ event on North Wharf at Wynyard Quarter is a short walk to the entrance of the Auckland Seafood Festival in the Viaduct Events Centre.
