BLOOM Family Festival is a 3-day fun-filled festi-holiday with live music, activities, entertainment, camping and more for 'kids' of all ages!

Held over the weekend of Fri 20 - Sun 22 January 2012 at Matakana Country Park, 45 mins from Auckland, 2 kms north Matakana township. Event Tickets, camping & campervan sites are on sale now at www.iticket.co.nz

The Variety Hour @ 5pm on Saturday features Variety Ambassador Elizabeth Marvelly, Variety Voices plus Massad, Abby Lee, Katie Scott and the Miss T's.

The festival is full of amazing family oriented activities to keep everyone entertained whether getting active with the kids at the Funky Fairground or Cheapskates Skate Park; take in some story-telling; enjoy a workshop with Royal New Zealand Ballet or watching something completely different like The Company of the Lance Jousters!

“There's fun for everyone at BLOOM; whether that’s getting funky with Baby Loves Disco, getting creative in the Youthtown Big Top Art Tent or watching some of NZ’s best bands! BLOOM is the perfect place to kick back, relax and enjoy summer fun with the whole family,” said Francis Hughes, Festival Director.

Fabulous food will be available from BLOOM Farmers Market and you can enjoy a a cool beer, a chilled wine and catch up with mates at cocktail hour before taking in the evening's main stage entertainment.

'Funky Fairground' has a mammoth 13 meter water slide, mini jeeps, water balls, obstacle course, maze, chair-o-plane, climbing wall, bouncy castles and more!

'Magic Meadow' is full of magical fun, entertainment and games from the Toy World Tent, including illustration workshops and the Story Tellers' Corner with Brian Falkner, Tim Tipene and many more of NZ's favourite children's writers.

‘Youthtown Big Top Art Tent’ – get creative with mask making, crazy hats, face-painting, photo booth, dress up, painting on Perspex, air-brush tattoos, lantern making, umbrella & sunhat painting, hand-painted flags or kite making!

'Fuse Circus' of Wellington presents the Campground Chaos Evening Circus Shows plus daily circus workshops and demos.

Performances and Dance Explorer workshops from the Royal New Zealand Ballet. Fully funded by the Lion Foundation.

Bloom-ing magic & comedy shows: Jarred Fell, Simon McKinney and Jamie Bowen plus a special magic show and workshops with Jarred Fell.

Woodland Workout with an assault course, adult and kids paint ball, archery, RC Battle ships, air rifle shooting, WW2 jeep rides, confidence course, combat stretcher race.

The Sports Village includes a freestyle skate park, Skills and Drills with The (Auckland) Blues, Training clinics with the NZ Breakers, weekend workshops with NZ Football and Northern District Cricket

Old MacDonald's Mobile Farm will be there with a special version of their farmyard exclusively for Bloom so the kids can get up close to their favourite animals.

    BLOOM Festival tickets cover all entertainment, live music, activities and workshops .. all covered except food, beverage (and campsites which are optional) .. it's great value with tickets starting at $30 a day ... great family discounts and one child free with one paying adult
