Bill Manhire’s Poetry Masterclass - An Opportunity for Undiscovered Writers
Bill Manhire, New Zealand’s first Poet Laureate and director of Victoria University’s International Institute of Modern Letters, is on the hunt for new poetic voices. For the first time in New Zealand, Manhire gives a public poetry masterclass offering insightful comment on the work of three budding poets – take part or be in the audience to watch this fascinating creative process at work.
If you would like to be considered for one of the three spots on stage at the Embassy Theatre, send three poems of up to 30 lines in a Word attachment to poetrymasterclass@festival.co.nz with your name and contact information by Friday 3 February 2012. The session will be convened by Chris Price.
