The Grey Lynn Farmers Market will be running three courses is beer making, wine making and distillation.
The courses will be taught by Brian and Mike from Brewer’s Coup in Penrose, who between them have 60 years of home beer and wine making experience. They will teach you everything you need to know to start out with home brew, home wine and home distillation making.
June 10 – Beer making 11.15 am
June 17 – Distillation 11.15 am
July 1- Wine making 11.15 am
Beer-making: covers the basics of beer making, from a simple beginnners beer to more variations such as playing with hops and making a wort.
Distillation: teaches you how to make an essense based spirit and a liqueur.
Wine making: this class will demonstrate a basic kit wine and also a fruit wine, made with feijoas.
Classes are $10 each or $5 for Friends of the Market.
