Bay of Islands Snorkel SCUBA Race

Welcome to the 30th Annual Bay of Islands Underwater Club Snorkel SCUBA Race!

This family event is not only great fun but also raises money for Russell Radio, Bay of Islands Coastguard and the Paihia Fire Service - all of whom do a great job looking after us all when in the Bay of Islands, on sea and land.

Snorkel SCUBA Race Entrants comprise a team of 6 (5 swimmers and 1 diver) and must register their entry with us before 15 September as team numbers are limited.

Childrens Icebreaker Swim - can be entered by any children and is a fun event for the kids to swim for prizes!! Mums and dads are welcome to help out!

Icebreaker Spearfishing Competition - is serious fun and quite competitive! All teams entered in the Snorkel SCUBA Race are eligible for entry in the Icebreaker Spearfishing Competition (no extra entry fee). This is a ‘big 3’ sprint event - the single biggest Crayfish, Snapper and Kingfish from each team will be judged and then auctioned in the evening to raise money for Russell Radio, Bay of Islands Coastguard and the Paihia Fire Service.
