A restoration ecologist by training, Derek Craig is a Tree Crops Association member and ‘Heritage’ gardener working for City Parks, Auckland Council.

He has worked with commercially beneficial insects in the horticultural industry and believes every property can provide food for the occupants in an environmentally friendly way.

Derek will cover a variety of topics including site preparation, tree management, plant choice for your local environment and hands on hints for planting and pruning trees to keep them healthy and productive.
