A visit to the machinery collection at Te Manawa reveals an eclectic mix of agricultural and industrial technology from Palmerston North and across the Manawatu. Flax trollies, an historic 1889 wool press, tools, sets of scales, cream separators, bicycles, milk cans and butter churns mingle with the remains of gear from local firms such as Palmerston North Brick & Pipes, the entire contents of a smithy, a printery and even a Shannon bakery.
