The Pohangina Valley will once again ring out to the sound of sheep, cattle, pigs and chickens as the Ashhurst Pohangina Lions Club invite you to their annual small holders sale. Four thousand people attended last year's sale, they bought and sold around a thousand lots of livestock and chattels, cleared out some old stuff and bought some new, with everything from a couple of hens to a 25ft yacht on offer there was a lot to choose from.
Refreshments will be on sale as well as crafts and plants, rides for the children and a cold one for mum and dad at the end of the day.
Sellers can deliver items from 6.30am on the day with the sales starting from around 10, but be there early if you want to view the huge number of auction items spread across the paddocks.
