The Hawke's Bay Opera House is one of New Zealand's treasures. Built in 1915, and designed by Henry Eli White, this magnificent theatre boasts a Spanish Mission facade, and has a striking example of Art Noveau interior decoration. Before we get to the Opera House, there is a leisurely stroll through Hastings to look at some of the best examples of Art Deco, Spanish Mission and Stripped Classical design in New Zealand.
The tour takes approximately 90 minutes. Departing from the Hastings i-Site Thursday,16 Feb 11am; Friday, 17 February 10 am; and Saturday, 18 February 10am.
