This year's event will feature the DH Mosquito - the world's only flying WW2 Mosquito bomber.
Armistice in Cambridge celebrates New Zealand's military heritage. The event runs for two days at the Mighty River Domain, Lake Karapiro.
It will also feature over 100 tanks, trucks and other military vehicles from all over NZ. Famous battles are fought by re-enactors wearing period uniforms and all manner of militaria will be on display to view, buy, sell or exchange.
The NZ Navy will have their rarely seen Seasprite helicopter on display as well as some of their smaller boats. Overhead, a P51 Mustang will fight it out with a Messerschmitt 108 as the Mustang tried to sink a submarine on the far side of Lake Karapiro.
This is a family event.
Timed for the weekend of November 10 and 11, this coincides with the signing of the Armistice in WW1, which took place at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month in 1918. A ceremony of remembrance will be held in the centre of Cambridge on the Sunday to mark this.
