Ark In the Park Concert for The Birds

Ark in the Park Concert for the Birds Presents Jennifer Ward-Lealand: Falling in Love Again.

A glorious cabaret tribute to Marlene Dietrich.
Accompanied by Grant Winterburn on piano and Aaron Coddel on bass.

This show, beautifully lit by lighting designer Andrew Malmo, and featuring an exquisite recreation of one of Dietrich's famous gowns, vividly captures the style and glamour of a time gone by. Jennifer sings 23 of Marlene Dietrich's most memorable songs.

This concert is organised by the Waitakere Branch of the Royal Forest and Bird Society to raise funds for returning threatened native birds, including the kokako and the yellow-crowned kakariki, to the Waitakere Ranges. Ark in the park is a partnership between Forest & Bird and the Auckland Council, supported by Te Kawerau a Maki.

There will be a special guest appearance by Riki Bennett (traditional Maori instruments).
