AON Insurance 3 Star Show Jumping Festival

Bring the family and come west for 2 days of equestrian action.

Show jumping is one of the most popular equestrian sports to watch. It’s easy to follow, full of action and very entertaining. Show jumping sees riders pit their skills and horsepower against other combinations as they ride predetermined courses against the clock, endeavouring not to knock any fences down. In New Zealand show jumping starts with small, easy courses and advances right through to Olympic level. The elite shows have star ratings (1*, 2**, 3***) to indicate height and degree of difficulty in the courses.

Come to Woodhill Sands on the 25th & 26th February and watch the country's top show jump riders competing. Take a drive just 40 mins north west of Auckland, to Woodhill and come watch all the exciting show jumping action on offer. The region's top show jumping combinations will be competing for honours in the Grand Prix (the premier class). See Olympic Representative Katie McVean riding a number of talented horses and holding off challenges from the likes of internationals Daniel Meech and Samantha MacIntosh along with top riders Lisa Coupe, Phillip Steiner and Paula Mussen.

With two full days of action, you’ll definitely have a great time no matter which day you choose to come on. Bring a picnic blanket and find a spot in the sun (or shade) to watch the action unfold. Spectators are always welcome at shows and entry is free. Please note this venue is dog-free.
