ReaLM - Reading and Literacy in the Manawatu is proud to present this evening event aimed at teachers, library teams as well as anyone passionate about reading and literacy, and we are thrilled to be hosting Bob Docherty and Mark Sommerset who will be sharing their expertise.
Bob has over 20 years experience in promoting reading and literacy to schools, first through his role at National Library, and now as a reading and literacy consultant. He has been on awards panels and reviews new childrens' and young adults fiction on his blog http://bobsbooksnz.wordpress.com/
Bob will be sharing the latest in new fiction for years 6-10, and also sharing his expertise in literacy and reading and will be sharing his secrets to getting kids inspired to read.
Mark is the author and publisher (along with his wife Rowan) of the acclaimed ‘Cork on the Ocean’ and the NZ Post Book Awards Children’s Choice 2011 winner ‘Baa Baa Smart Sheep.
