Members of the public are invited to attend the Manawatu Amateur Radio Society (MARS) annual contest field day. This annual contest is named in the honour of Jock White ZL2GX who was the NZART Contest and Awards Manager for over 40 years.
On display will be two completely stand along radio stations, staffed by a roster of MARS members. These two stations will communicate with home stations and also other societies and clubs around the world.
