Although Edwina's band consists of the same musicians as last year with Andrea Groenwald on guitar, Adam Usmani on piano, Nick Taylor on bass and Lenny Church on drums, this exciting presentation will feature new compositions from Edwina's latest album The Composer, and a dazzle of trumpet features by Clifford Brown, Freddie Hubbard and, of course, Miles Davis.
Edwina has recently returned from a month in Turkey where she performed at the AWID Conference again, as well as two leading jazz clubs in Istanbul. No doubt there will be a Middle Eastern flavour, some quarter tones and an interesting array of arrangements from this international performer.
