Come and listen to foot-stomping rhythms, featuring African and African-American gospel music as well as contemporary arrangements including waiata, Pacifika, pop music, secular and many more.
Four choirs:
Nets of Mercy is a dynamic small gospel choir directed by Tony and Rohan MacMahon. With a terrific repertoire and Tony singing solo in a few of the songs it's great stuff!
Vox Pop is David Tillinghast's 40-voice popular music choir. No gospel here - just pop songs that are fabulously arranged and sung.
Heaven Bent is a large gospel choir that has been strongly influenced by Tony. It continues to sound fantastic under Phil May's direction.
Next Offramp is a 12-voice vocal group. They sing an eclectic mix of popular songs, all with oodles of energy and heart.
Entry by Koha $10.00 suggested - proceeds to City Mission.
