5-Star Comedy Preview 2012

8 international guest comedians packed in to one huge 2 hour show.

It is one of the most eagerly awaited shows in the annual NZ International Comedy Festival providing punters with a taste of things to come over the following 3 weeks.

And in 2012 the ‘5 Star Comedy Preview’ just got bigger with 8 international guest comedians, the biggest line-up in the 10 year history of show, guaranteeing another early sellout.

Who’s who in 2012;

Milton Jones (England) – Voted ‘Headliner of the Year 2011’ by Chortle.co.uk

Craig Campbell (Canada) – A Comedy Festival favourite, last here in 2007, on his 4th return tour.

Brendon Burns (Australia) – An Edinburgh Festival legend winning the award for ‘Best Comedy Show’ there in 2007. A heckler's nightmare!

Stuart Taylor (South Africa) – A favourite at home and the first South African comedian to guest at the annual NZ International Comedy Festival in its 20 year history.

Dead Cat Bounce (Ireland) – Ireland’s answer to ‘Flight of the Conchords'. A comedy rock super-group with a huge following. Over 800,000 hits of their ‘Rugby’ song on YouTube.

Bill Dawes (USA) – Flying the stars and stripes at this year’s fest a well travelled comedian from the U.S. who actually knows where the rest of the world is.

Chris Martin (England) – One of the rising stars on the UK Pro circuit making his NZ Festival debut.

Dan Willis (England) – Another experienced comedian from the UK Pro circuit who recently emigrated to Australia but we won’t hold that against him.

All these acts will be appearing in a variety of shows throughout the festival including their own award winning solo shows but the ‘5 Star Comedy Preview’ is the only time you will get to see this stellar line-up together in one big show.
