2012 Arts Festival

Morrinsville Anual Arts Festival will be held this year from August 4th - 19th.

Over the 16 days there will be seven evening events.

Streeton Duo
Saturday 4th August
String duo with amazing talent and beautiful sound.
Time: 7pm. Tickets: $40, students: $30

Metso New Zealand Art Awards
Wednesday 8th August
Matamata College is exhibiting in the Community Gallery and Metso are holding their annual awards ceremony.
Time: 6.30pm. Free - donations appreciated

Brenda Liddiard & Lisa Hawkins
Friday 10th August
Two very talented women, both with beautiful and unique voices.
Time: 7pm. Tickets: $15, students: $10

20 Years of Winners - The Wallace Art Awards
Tuesday 14th August
The Wallace Art Awards Paramount Winners 1992 - 2011,
Time: 6.30pm. Free - donations appreciated

Nikau Trio
Wednesday 15th August
An outstanding trio from Chamber Music New Zealand, playing the flute, oboe and cello.
Time: 7pm. Tickets: $40, students: $30

TJ McNamara
Friday 17th August
New Zealand Herald's Art Critic returns for his popular and inspirational art talks.
Time: 7pm. Tickets: $25, students: $15

Community Closing Ceremony
Sunday 19th August
The popular Mighty River Harmony, Lyceum Choir and David St School Choir/Kapahaka Group close our festival with a night to remember!
Time: 7pm. Tickets: $10, students: $5

We will be having three family fun days, with the dates of
- Saturday the 4th,
- Saturday the 11th
- Saturday the 18th
There will be drumming, interactive art workshops, live art, music, face painting and more.
