2 Day Carving Workshop with Anna Korver

2 day carving weekend workshop using Oamaru wood/stone.
25th & 26th August.

This is a hand tool work shop for carving and sculpting in Oamaru stone or wood. No experience is necessary but the class caters to students of all levels.

Students will learn basic 3-D design, technical use of hand carving tools, sharpening, seasoning and storing wood, carving in 3-D, sanding and finishing products. The course will also discuss plinths / bases, drilling, pinning, more advanced materials and tools, sourcing materials, Q & A. Students can bring their own materials or pieces they are working on however materials will be supplied.
