Join Waikanae Estuary Care Group plant and weed-release near the dunes on the southern side of Waikanae Estuary.

Waikanae Estuary is a nationally significant estuarine wetland that is important to a large number of resident and migratory bird species. The care group has been working in the estuary since 2004 to suppress weeds and plant appropriate native vegetation to improve the overall health and wildlife habitat of the estuary.

What you will need: Warm clothes, sturdy footwear. Gloves, tools and morning tea provided.
