Retro-funk rockers Violet Hertz bring their genre-bending sound to you at Khuja, with a high-energy set that is full of feel and groove, swinging through influences and genres like a pendulum.

Fans, bystanders and even the band members themselves are unable to sum up this unique musical experience, and will remain so... until someone can think of a less than 3 word description.

Thunder Dykes are coming along too, all the way from Hamilton. Their stripped back two-piece rock'n'roll will tear you a new one, in a good way.

The Mad Crept have discovered a sound that they are now being noticed for. A mix of dark dreamy guitar tones, solid no-nonsense beats, powerful atmospheric bass-lines and unique frank lyrics combine for a hypnotic ride.

And to kick it all off on the night, The Kara Gordon Band, featuring some of New Zealand's most proficient musicians, including the mighty Kara Gordon tearing it up on guitar. Their vintage blues rock is sure to go off and get the people ready to get messy.
