Update: Please be advised tickets have now sold out.

Should anyone registered not be able to attend we will release tickets back onto the Eventbrite website for other people to secure so please keep checking back to see if any tickets are available.

If you are not able to get tickets prior to the event and would still like to attend we will have a small amount of tickets per hourly time slot available on the day. Unfortunately we will not be able to guarantee you entry to the tunnel; this will be solely dependent on the number of registered people that actually turn up to the event. For Health and Safety reasons we have to restrict the number of people entering the tunnel at any one time.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Victoria Park Tunnel is opening. Help us celebrate this milestone for transport in Auckland at our Open Day. It includes a chance to walk through the tunnel as well as opportunities to check out Auckland’s brand new skatepark and enjoy the reinstated Victoria Park, one of our most important open spaces.

What's happening?

- Tunnel walk through. Capacity is limited. Please register above to avoid disappointment. The tunnel walk involves walking up and down 5 flights of stairs (a three storey building) and a one kilometre walk. A good level of fitness and sturdy shoes are essential.

- Skating demonstrations.

- 'Walk of Art' - self guided tour highlighting key features of the re-opened park.

- Food available: M&L Food for Pleasure, Fritz Weiners, Paella Pan, Kettle Korn, CooknRolla and The Coffee Guy.

Disabled access is available but limited. Please do not register. Email Victoria Park Alliance to indicate your interest, ensuring you state what disabled access is required.

Important information:

You are welcome to arrive any time during the one hour time slot that you have selected for your ticket option. Queues may be longer at the beginning of each time slot.

Maximum of 10 tickets per booking.
Each ticket is uniquely barcoded. Duplicate tickets will not be accepted on the day.
No prams, pushchairs, cycles, skateboards or roller blades allowed in the tunnel.
A lock up area for cycles and prams will be available.
No pets.
No smoking.
Please allow plenty of time and use public transport where possible. Plan your journey before you travel at at www.maxx.co.nz. We are expecting large crowds on the day and limited parking is available in surrounding streets.

In support of Freemans Bay Primary School there will be a gold coin collection at the tunnel entry.

Bring your ticket which has your allotted time slot on it. Only people with valid tickets can be guaranteed entry to the tunnel.

If you have selected the final time slot (1.30 - 2.30pm) please note entry to the tunnel will close promptly at 2.45pm. No members of the public will be allowed access to the tunnel after this time.
