Wellington band Underwire are launching their debut EP Buzz Around Now. Underwire are the original band formed by popular Wellington Pixies tribute the Proxies, and since their first set at the closing of Misdemeanour for NZ Music month 2010, have played Bodega, San Francisco Bath House, and Forest 2011 this year. With contributions from Johnny, Spike & Jane, Underwire play subversive yet uplifting songs for our banana republic. Buzz Around Now is their first recording, engineered by Kemp at Union Mix.
Local legend Bill Hickman will grace the opening set.
