Trei & Friends is a night that will deliver exactly what it says on the tin. Whilst playing at all the right parties across the country and abroad, the night at Sandwiches will be Trei's opportunity to explore the further reaches of his record collection and test out the limits of the dance floor as he is afforded the luxury of a long set, each time setting off on a unique and unpredictable journey.

For each party Trei will also invite some friends to join him on the decks or on the mic, and considering that Trei mixes with the upper echelon of drum and bass in New Zealand, and on the global scene, you are in for more than a few treats and surprises as the series unfolds.

Some will be announced, some won't. Some will be invited, and others will just crash the party through the side door.

A night based on music, not hype. A night where creativity is king and the party goes all night long!

Trei
With a passport full of stamps, scorching hot exclusive selections and the technical skills to match, Trei is one of the leading lights of the New Zealand drum and bass scene. Internationally known as both a producer and a DJ, over the last seven years Trei has made his mark, both at home and abroad, particularly across Europe, where after no less than 6 successful tours, he is fast becoming a favourite for those who know.

Based in Wellington, New Zealand, Trei's seamless mixing and anthemic productions have seen him linked to some of the finest d&b record labels, club nights, DJs and producers on the planet. With the likes of Samurai Music, Commercial Suicide, Shogun Ltd, Uprising Recordings, Concord Dawn, Andy C, Klute, Friction and Black Sun Empire in the mix, in 2011, his presence is impossible to ignore.

Focused on making nightclub ceilings drip with sweat; and writing the tunes that we all party to, Trei is laser-etching himself into the history books; and future proofing drum and bass in the process. Hold tight.

Tali
Tali is accredited with being the most successful female MC in drum 'n' bass of all time. With three D 'n' B awards, a solo album, numerous singles and guest vocals under her belt, Tali has MC’d all around the world with many of the scene's heavyweights.

Discovered by Roni Size back in 2001, Tali moved from New Zealand to the UK to sign to the legendary 'Full Cycle Records' and went on to write and record the first female MC album ever released in D 'n' B - 'Lyric on My Lip' Full Cycle 2004 (and one of the first ever MC albums fullstop!), with production from Roni Size, Krust, Clipz, and DJ Die, with featured vocals from Dynamite MC. From this, Tali was given the name 'The First Lady of Full Cycle' which, after winning her first D 'n' B award, got shortened to 'The First Lady of the Mic'.

Renowned for her unique ability to sing and freestyle, Tali's reputation has grown due to her versatility, soaring voice and the positive connection she makes with the crowd. While Tali is able to hold her own next to any MC in the scene and rock the mic over any kind of drum 'n' bass, Tali mostly prefers her deep liquid rollers, citing Calibre, S.P.Y. Marcus Intalex, Lenzman and Commix as some of her more personal favourite DJs to MC and rave to!
