The new Tourettes album, Tiger Belly, is a celebration of the absurd beauty of 21st century capitalism. Poems and rap songs, odes to idealism, gallows humour, working class pride and the cancer of convenience.
The Vietnam War are a guitar driven working class rock n roll band. Distilling their everyday lives into music mixing their wide tastes: country music, rock n’ roll, soul, doo-wop all sorts. Using classic equipment their sound could be somewhere in the middle of the seventies America but the content is the everyday, Auckland city. Refusing the clichés of any genre, they sound really new!
