The Mantarays are a 3-piece psychedelic soul ensemble featuring Nigel Patterson (The Black Seeds, The Chandeliers) Anthony Donaldson (Six Volts, Village of the Idiots) and Daniel Beban.

Formed in the second half of 2007 The Mantarays have gained an excellent reputation for high quality musicianship and have attracted a dedicated following.

The sound combines early New Orleans funk with dance floor retro organ grooves and exotic Latin rhythms. Supremely tasteful guitaring fuelled by pulsating drums and organ creates a sound that is captivating, sophisticated and infectious.
