Held from Friday until Sunday evening, the focus of Spring Astrocamp is observational astronomy and astrophotography. During the day there will be the opportunity to observe the sun. In the evenings we have the wonders of the winter Milky Way and beyond. In addition to observing we have, during the day, a programme of lectures and workshops with opportunities to exchange ideas and socialise.
A dinner will be held in Carterton on the Saturday evening.
This year we are holding the Astrocamp at the clubrooms in Ahiaruhe. Talks and workshops will be held at the clubrooms, between 10am and 4pm Saturday and Sunday. Observing will take place at the TPAS observatory on site.
Coffee and tea are part of the registration. Lunch will be soup and a roll or something very similar. Places for meals will be booked but you can choose your meal and pay in the normal way. Evening meals are not part of the registration fee.
