Baypark has today postponed the fireworks display of this weekend’s scheduled speedway event, however the main racing events are still on. This includes sprint, super saloon, saloon cars, stock cars and mini stocks.

We understand our patrons will be disappointed, however the decision to postpone the fireworks was made because of the potential threat to the 402 rescued and endangered birds located next to the venue at the Rena Disaster Wildlife Rescue Centre. This includes 60 rare dotterels housed at the centre.

To compensate, Baypark will be increasing the level on the ground family entertainment.

The Baypark Speedway Big Family Night Out will be giving away free glows sticks, face painting and lots more entertainment to come.

The fireworks event is considered to be one of the biggest events on the Speedway and Baypark calendar. Baypark are looking at hosting the fireworks display at a more suitable date.
