Music, fashion, food and demonstrations, the South Canterbury International Festival is a chance to experience the world in Timaru.

Headlined by Anika Moa and Raybon Kan in 2011 this annual event brings together a huge range of activities on one site for a full day of excitement.

Sit in front of the outdoor stage and experience the variety of performers on show including bands, dance groups and individual performers such as Soul Agency, Anika Moa, kapa haka groups, Phillipino dance groups, InHarmony Choir, Skudderhill and many more.

Walk around and visit one of the 12 cultural Houses and experience the different cultures through interactive displays, music, video and costume including Taiwan, Germany, Philippines, South Africa, Maori, Pacific, Russian speaking, Japan, Korea, China, Saudi Arabia and Holland.

Watch the chefs working under pressure in the cooking demonstrations to prepare a full dish in only 30 minutes including Masterchef contestants, a Guiness World Record holder and the Captain of the New Zealand Culinary Arts Team.

Visit the exhibitors to purchase food and goods ranging from traditional Indian food to bonsai trees and much much more.
