Rugby widow Pam Hooper has a point to prove – girls can play rugby just as well as the men! Fed up with her husband's misguided dreams of sporting stardom, Pam sets about putting her own into practise. Together with her motley, seven-a-side, all-female rugby team, Pam challenges the men on and off the field to change their assumptions. Sparking with wit and racy banter, Pack of Girls is an exuberant and revealing examination of concerns close to New Zealand's heart.

Tempers fly, as do insults and even fists, as the action gets heated in this fast-moving comedy from New Zealand author, David Geary.

Pack of Girls is a hilarious rough-and-tumble tale of what happens when a rugby widow and her female mates decide they want to join the action. Winner of the Bruce Mason New Playwright's Award, the play, by native New Zealander David Geary, has become a Kiwi classic. The show is full of action, and is still a timely and funny take on Men v. Women and all the modifications of our national game, marriage, friendship and what it really means to be a good sport.

Get ready for some hearty belly laughs as you follow the rugby widows taking on the game!

Praise for Pack of Girls:

“...this play couldn't fail to stir tremors of recognition in the Kiwi soul” - The Listener
“The play offers itself to us in the fullest possible way and the jokes just keep getting funnier” - Timothy O'Brien
