Internationally successful guitar maker by day and guitarist by night, Wellington’s Paddy Burgin will be entertaining crowds this September in Wellington.
His music is a rare blend of interesting and sympathetic sounds, and it’s sure to get your feet tapping.
"His guitar playing is revelatory: with ease he traverses blues, folk, slide, suggestions of Hawaiian sounds and old time jazz, touches of country." - Graham Reid from Elsewhere
Assisting Burgin is his band: Tessa Rain on backing vocals, James Coyle on keyboards, Joe Callwood on electric and acoustic guitars, Bruce McNaught on the cahon (a wooden percussion box) and Murray Costello on bass.
Paddy Burgin and the Wooden Box Band produce what music reviewer Nick Bollinger calls "handmade music of the finest kind".
