Experience a vibrant cultural combination of dance from the Pacific, traversing from Hawaiian hula to traditional Maori dance (kapa haka), electric boogaloo to evocative aerial displays from New Zealand’s aerial dance spectacular “Maui – One Man Against The Gods”.
For the first time, Maori, Pacific Island and African traditional and contemporary dancers will ignite the stage with 90 minutes of non-stop dance: a glorious fusion of infectious rhythms, colourful costumes and a guest appearance by Nikosinathi’s South African Cultural Dance Group.
This year’s show builds on the great success of the inaugural Kōwhiti Festival that received the NZ Listener All Star Dance award.
