Trudy Mulligan graduated from the University of Canterbury School of Fine Arts in 1990 and works primarily in a digital universe. She won the Telecom Art Award for Timaru/Oamaru in 1999 and lives in Geraldine and Christchurch. She has been working on the subject of flight and disability. This project, which began with a photograph of one of her sculptures, has evolved into a raw examination of colour and shape. 100 Steps examines 100 imagined steps in the mind of the artist who lives in a body which no longer allows her to walk.
